Agikdak Seeed Secondary School Well is located in Agikdak sub-county, Amolatar District, Northern Uganda.
The school had been depending on a congested borehole which is in the nearby trading centre, 2.2km away. This meant that the students had to walk a total distance of 4.4km to access water and therefore many of the students missed valuable hours of lessons as they had to go and line up for water. This negatively impacted the performance of the school and so the enrollment numbers have reduced.
The new water source has made a big difference to this school. 360 students now have access to safe, clean water. They no longer have to walk long distances and so they can focus on their education. This was the 649th well completed by Fields of Life and we thank the generous donor who made this possible.
