“What I loved about my year at Fields of Life was how diverse my experience was and the vast skills I developed, varying from social media content planning and scheduling, preparing prayer letters and newsletter, and visiting schools and churches to update them on Fields of Life projects.”
Alice McCaughern, Fields of Life Intern 2019-2020
Fields of Life has openings for 2 interns to join the Fields of Life team in Autumn 2021. This is an amazing opportunity to gain experience of working for an international charity, while making the difference to thousands of lives in East Africa. As an intern, you will be a key part of the Fields of Life team, regularly taking part in team meetings, devotions and joining in our team socials.
The intern roles currently available are:
Are you someone who has an interest in communications and marketing? Are you familiar with Facebook, Instagram, Linked in, and other social media? Fields of Life are looking for a committed intern devoted to help Fields of Life to broadcast the good news of what our project staff and supporters are doing.
Fields of Life has over 2,000 committed and faithful sponsors, supporting children in the Fields of Life partner school network to receive education, food and hope. We regularly update sponsors with letters, pictures and stories about the impact of their generous support. Could you help manage our Salesforce database and share with sponsors the amazing difference they are making to a child’s life?
These positions are based at the FOL office at House of Vic-Ryn, Moira Road, Lisburn, though we can consider some working from home. There may be opportunity to attend or participate in events or functions on behalf of FOL in other locations. These are not necessarily full time positions. We are happy to consider interns who can work 3, 4 or 5 days a week.
Internships are unpaid positions. However, you can claim the cost of travelling to and from the office and also any expenses incurred in carrying out your duties. We hope for each internship to include a fully expensed trip to East Africa to visit FOL projects (possibly as part of a summer team) – Covid permitting of course!
