In February 2017, Alexis took on the role of Child Sponsorship Co-Ordinator in our Uganda office. He brings a wealth of experience to this role and is settling into the position really well. We thought you should get to know him a little bit better…
Tell us a bit about yourself:
I am a married man with two children. I am a practicing Christian from a God fearing family with a love and passion for children, especially the most vulnerable.
I have 10 years of progressive work experience and in all my work life, I have enjoyed working for only child focused organisations.
Tell us a fun fact:
I enjoy making jokes with my children and friends at work.
When did you first get involved with Fields of Life and why?
I joined Fields of Life in February 2017, my intention of joining Fields of Life was to make a contribution towards improving our sponsorship operations by using my wealth of knowledge and experience around child sponsorship.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
I enjoy seeing the relationships and two way communication between the sponsors and sponsored children who are being transformed.
What’s been the most exciting thing since you started?
In the last five months, I was very excited to see two proposals developed and funded. I felt I was blessed to make a good contribution towards the ongoing Peter Vardy Foundation One Child campaign and also the outreach project.
What 3 words would you use to describe yourself?
Straight forward, open minded and self-supervised.
