Amon Rugira recently joined the Fields of Life team in the role of Education Co-Ordinator, East Africa. We are thrilled to welcome Amon into the family and we are excited for all that he will bring to this role. Here’s what you need to know about Amon…
Tell us a bit about yourself:
I love to make people smile and I really enjoy having fun and interacting with people. Humour is a big part of my personality (most people have told me so) and I believe this is heaven sent.
I am outgoing and adventurous. I love and seek my God.
Tell us a fun fact:
When I was young I had a baby tooth extracted…not because it was damaged, but because I wanted a trip to another city with a dental clinic! I’ve always loved adventure.
When did you first get involved with Fields of Life and Why?
I attended the 2017 Annual Head Teachers Conference. This was my first involvement with these God-loving people. The conference was very informative and everyone was very welcoming.
This led me into my new role. I have a desire to bring hope to the children of Uganda and East Africa. It is always a good feeling to positively impact a life and that is why I wanted to work with Fields of Life.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
The quest for knowledge! I continue to learn new things every day and this gives me great satisfaction. My Job is my teacher!
What’s been the most exciting thing since you started?
Monday morning devotions. Sharing the great work the Lord has done and fellowship with the team before work makes me excited.
What 3 words would you use to describe yourself?
Humorous, lively and veracious.
