We would love to introduce you to Ross and Jane McQueen. Ross and Jane are great supporters of Fields of Life and this week they will be moving to Uganda! We are delighted to welcome Ross to the Fields of Life team in Kampala, where he will be working in the role of Projects and Facilities Co-ordinator. We asked Ross and Jane a few questions and here’s what you need to know…
Tell us a bit about yourselves:
We are Jane and Ross McQueen. We have been married for nearly two years. I (Jane) have been working as a vet while Ross has been working as a civil engineer in Belfast. We are moving to Kampala in early November as Ross takes on the role of Projects and Facilities Co-ordinator with Fields of Life. This will involve managing the Fields of Life infrastructure projects, such as school construction. I will be continuing to study for a masters and will be looking for a job in a veterinary practice in Kampala.
What motivated you to move to Uganda?
We both have a heart for Africa and have felt God call us to an adventure in this beautiful continent. We fell in love with Uganda when we visited in 2016- we got engaged at the top of Murchison Falls so it holds a special place in our hearts!
What are you most excited about?
We are most excited to get to know the Fields of Life staff and get involved in the amazing work Fields of Life are doing across East Africa. We love travelling and exploring new places and can’t wait for opportunities to meet new people in Uganda.
What can we pray for?
A job for Jane
That we will form meaningful friendships in Uganda
That we will find a church to become involved in
Protection over our marriage through this transition
Please join with us in welcoming Ross and Jane into the Fields of Life family and please do remember them in prayer as they start this exciting chapter in their lives.
