Sponsorship: Moses’ Story

“My name is Moses Baseke!

I have been sponsored through Fields of Life since I was 9 years old. Both of my parents had passed away and my 3 siblings and I started living with our grandmother. Education was important to her, but even at that young age, I was aware that she could not afford to pay for our school fees.

It is written in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God did have a wonderful plan for me!

Through the Fields of Life sponsorship programme, God helped me to get a sponsor when I was in P.2 at Kawondwe Primary school. This was when my life changed.

After primary school, I joined Bethel Royal High School for both O and A Levels.  I performed well and proceeded to Makerere university.  I have completed my Bachelor’s degree in Adult and Community Education. Currently, I am engaged in community work, using practical skills I learned at school, and I hope to continue working in charity and community work. 

Once again, I thank my sponsor for giving me the opportunity to attain education. With education I feel wealthy, and I have confidence to go back and help my community.”
